Principal Marianne founded The Dance Studio back in 1985 under the name the Tunbridge Wells Dance & Drama Studios. She very quickly expanded to include Paddock Wood, Kemsing & Otford.
Having also studied at The Weguelin School of Russian Ballet, Marianne has choreographed and starred in many stage productions.
Marianne also works as a Booker for Happy Feet Management.
After joining Otford and Kemsing Dance & Drama Studios in 1985, Jessica has now been with The Dance Studio for over 35years. She took on teaching her first class age 16 and soon after gained her teaching qualifications under the instruction of Yvonne Creber, current president of the NATD. After competing as a child, she founded our successful competition team in 2013 and has organised many events with them including three trips to Disneyland Paris.
As well as teaching, Jessica works extensively as a choreographer for both theatre and corporate events. She works in many local schools running classes and workshops. She is also a co-founder of the extremely popular Sevenoaks Dance Festival.
Teaching is definitely Jessica's passion and she loves seeing many of her pupils go on to take their dancing to the next level by either progressing through to their teaching exams or on to professional college.
